Under the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), cocoa and coffee may only enter the European Union if their origin can be proven: the exact location of every plot, and no deforestation after 31 December 2020. Without this data, Congolese farmers lose access to the European market.

Our system in three steps
1. Farmer and plot registration
On the plot, with the farmer present: consent, identity, and a GPS trace of the plot boundary made on foot. The area is calculated automatically.
2. Deforestation and legality check
Planting year, plot planted before 2021, no clearing since, land status (title or chief’s attestation). An alert appears immediately when there is a risk.
3. Purchase, quality and loading
Every lot gets a unique number. Weighing, moisture, cut test and grading, geotagged photos taken on the spot: the lot is linked to its plots of origin.

The app runs on a simple Android phone, in French and English, even without network: data is sent as soon as the signal returns.
